Day 67: How Many Ways Can You Spell Crazy??

I don't even know how to give this day a title. It was hot, it was chaotic, it was frustrating, it was joyful, it was tiring. To be very honest, it wasn't the greatest day. I think, though, that my perspective is not the best at the moment because I am so very tired...it's probably a great night to go to bed early!

However, we are in a house that has two dogs Hannah really likes, there isn't a bug problem, she can use hot water to take a shower, all of our stuff is completely moved, and even the cars have been switched. So there is a lot of positive stuff that happened today.

This morning I woke up to a beautiful view and said good-bye to the home-owner, as he headed off to catch his plane. Then we got ourselves ready for school and headed in.

Our school day started today with sports, and I was in charge of taking the youngest students to the local sports field and teach them how to do somersaults, back-bends, and cartwheels. Hannah injured her heel the other day which means she can't wear tennis shoes at the moment, so she helped me. Fortunately, she took gymnastics for a couple of years, so the skills were no problem for her! After the heat got the best of us, we went back to school and read to the kids while they drank water to re-hydrate. The rest of the school day was a bit off-schedule, so the kids were off, too, but we made it through.

Hannah had a rehearsal after school, so I went over to the airport to get Al's car (the one we'll have while we're in this house), took it up the hill to Nadeen's and then walked back down to school to get Nadeen's car and Hannah so we could go back up to Nadeen's and get our refrigerator/freezer items. We worked together to get everything loaded and make one last pass through to be sure we have all our belongings, and then headed "home."

We then needed to unpack everything, make supper, get homework done, projects completed, and get our sweaty selves clean!

It's not quite 9:00 and I'm ready for bed. Hopefully Hannah is in dreamland. And hopefully tomorrow will not be so crazy!

Thank You, God, for being with us on days like today. Thank You that most days are better!!

  2. Yay! You did it! Think how good you'll feel to come home tonight, grab a mango, NOT swat at mosquitos, grab a glass of wine, enjoy the beautiful view, grab another glass of wine, have a chat with Hannah ;-), Skype with Stan, grab another mango, and sleep soundly. And then you'll wake up tomorrow, and it'll be FRIDAY!
    It's Friday, Friday, Friday, ooooh......
    Love you!
    Hope
