After a pretty hectic day at school today, we headed up to the house, loaded the car, and drove to our "new" place. We're staying at a couple's home while they're in the States, taking care of their two sweet dogs and their cat. Hannah has been especially excited about this move because she's been anxious to get away from the mosquitoes and gnats; plus that, she's looking forward to being pals with the dogs!
Nadeen's car was chock full of our belongings, some of which was carefully packed, and some that was just kind of tossed wherever. Tomorrow we'll go back and get our food from the refrigerator and freezer, and we'll be completely moved!
Hopefully before it gets dark tomorrow I can get some pictures taken to show you the beautiful home and the views we have from here. The yard has four or five mango trees (which are currently bearing the mouth-watering fruit), a banana tree (not in season...bummer), and a star-fruit tree (I just finished eating some). There are probably others I'm forgetting, but right now I'm pretty pooped!
We will also be able to use the owners' vehicle (it's four-wheel-drive, which we'll need for going up and down the mountain to the house), so we're all set for transportation, too!
This place is on a completely different part of the island, too, so that's another plus! The house has a beautiful deck that has plenty of comfortable seating, so I'm sure we'll spend lots of time there. In fact, that's where the dining table is! What's not to like??
Thank You, God, for providing for us again in a wonderful way!
That was an amazing view..... and an amazing dining room! I'm so happy for you that you have a comfortable place to stay now!!
